Volunteering with ProvKids is a great way to care for children and bless parents! If you’d like more information or are interested in joining our team, contact Amy Peterson (amy@providencewc.org)(mailto:Cayla@Providencewc.org) to receive an application.

ADULTS: All ProvKids Volunteers are required to pass a state criminal and child abuse background check. They also go through a safety and procedures training before they serve. We follow a 2-adult rule and exceed PA state ratios to provide a safe and loving atmosphere that helps protect our volunteers and kids in emergencies. Additionally, only screened adult females may change diapers and provide bathroom assistance or personal care in a room with another adult present. CHILDREN: All children receive a printed name tag at registration. This tag will include allergy information (if applicable) and a unique code that matches the parent/adult retrieval tag. We use Orange Curriculum, resources, and training for our children’s ministry. Orange brings together solid theology and human development, and focuses on helping children know Jesus in a way that makes them eager to keep discovering more. Learn more about Orange here. Dedication affirms the parents' desire to raise their children with a spiritual foundation and biblical values. It also gives the church family a chance to celebrate with and support the family dedicating. Providence Church baptizes elementary-aged children who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and wish to make a public profession of their faith. Children and their parents will meet with our elementary director and complete the Baptism Booklet to gauge their understanding of faith and baptism.
